Jewelry Handmade by Emmie Mae - FAQ and GIVE-AWAY

So I thought I would center today's post around the topic of my jewelry. A lot of people ask me questions about it, so I am dedicating this post to my jewelry!

I have tons and tons of jewelry that I have made, and just have yet to photograph (truly the part I hate the MOST, and as you can tell I am not very good at that part, but I am making a solid effort to do better at it and get up all the photos of the jewelry that I have made, as I realize that will be key to selling it).

The way I came about making jewelry is after I was hurt at work, rendering me unable to work anymore (at the mere age of 23), the nature of my injury also prevent me from engaging in a lot of the things I used to love to do, as physical activity would often exacerbate my symptoms. So I had to find something I loved to do that allowed me to stay rather stationary, that kept my hands busy. Then I remembered how much my sister and I used to love making jewelry (as kids so on a much more novice level) when we were camping. And so I began, and I haven't looked back, I've suffered some set backs along the way (making jewelry while 8 months preggo = no fun, and a broken wrist), but it is a hobby I love way to much to abandon!! So that is how I re-stumbled back into making jewelry.

Currently I am working on making three sets of bridal jewelry for three weddings that are coming up this spring!! I love doing bridal jewelry, it's nice to see my finished products on people loving every minute of a very special day. So if you are in need of some custom work for a bridal party, or really any reason, email me and we can work something out. I do offer shipping to both Canada and U.S.

Now I'm going to let you in on a little secret, in the photo's of the jewelry I have posted thus far, very few of the pieces of jewelry have their clasp installed. I leave the clasps off until the are ordered for a very specific reason, in case anyone has an allergy to nickel, and requires a special clasp. It's a lot easier to attach a clasp upon ordering, then to remove one (which usually means starting the piece over, and depending the piece that could delay shipping time).

So, right now Life As I Know It, is offering a giveaway featuring my jewelry found here. So go check out her blog, and then do as her instructions say and get a chance at winning one of the pieces of jewelry I handcrafted!!

If you have any other questions feel free to comment below and I will answer them!!! Good luck!!!
